Services Overview

Prenatal

I offer a continuous and growing relationship prenatally.

I am in contact through your pregnancy, and then we meet for an in-depth, full prenatal meeting near 32-37 weeks. This time together will cover your questions, stages of labor review, and important details

I provide handouts and “homework” for relaxation and positioning suggestions. I introduce you to a contraction app and start up a 3-way chat.

During Labor

I often provide early labor support, offering reminders and suggestions via phone or text. When active labor begins, we find the right time for me to arrive. I offer continual, comforting techniques for labor and birth, working to maintain a peaceful birth environment. This may include massage, essential oils, heat packs, candles, music, honey sticks, and Spinning Babies movement. Continual support is provided until after baby is born, ensuring immediate postpartum care and help with baby’s first feeding. If able, I take photos and notes on your labor timeline.

*Birth photos are included as part of my services (as allowed)

Postnatal Follow-Up

We process the birth together, discuss newborn care, address any newborn fedding issues, and I can provide additional postpartum resources, if needed. Labor timeline given, if notes available. Adjusting and transitioning at home with a newborn is an important time. Juat ask any of my doula families…. I am able to stay in touch and I have many repeat families I serve!

Fees

Your investment is $1,800. Payment schedule: $900 is paid as a deposit upon agreement. The remaining $900 is due by 36 weeks and this can be paid in multiple payments. Additional fees may be necessary if outside of my range, such as downtown Chicago or Wisconsin.

Insurance Reimbursemet: Families with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), FSA (Flex Spending Accounts), or Health Care Sharing (such as Samaritains Ministires) will be happy to know that many programs will reimburse for birth doulas. Check with your program for details. I have had many families utilize these benefits without issue. if you need a Birth Doula receipt of service, I’m happy to send upon request.

Some insurance companies have reimbursed for Birth Doula services. Contact your Insurance company for more information. i do not have an NPI provider number at this time; however, I can provide a sample letter to your insurance company upon request. It is not common for insurance companies to agree to reimburse and it can be a long process, but asking also brings awareness, and I encourage you to try.
